An 18-year-old woman is facing a capital murder charge after a man who was reported missing following an early morning crash was later found dead in Little Rock, Arkansas.
According to the Little Rock Police Department, officers responded around 1:15 a.m. Sunday to a crash in the 6500 block of Arch Street. Investigators said the driver, identified as 18-year-old Kadaysha Ellis, told officers that her passenger had fled the scene following a disturbance.
More than 10 hours later, police located the passenger, identified as 35-year-old Tony Harper of North Little Rock, deceased in a wooded area near the crash site. Following the discovery, Ellis was arrested and charged with capital murder in connection with Harper’s death. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and are working to determine what led to the fatal encounter.
The case has drawn attention throughout the Little Rock community as investigators collect evidence and seek information from anyone who may have witnessed the events or has knowledge that could assist the investigation.
