A 25-year-old woman lost her life Monday morning after an alleged road rage incident led to a devastating head-on crash on Highway 152 in southwest Oklahoma City. The victim was identified by the Oklahoma City Police Department as Sharon Ladimar Paz Herrera, 25, who was driving southbound on Highway 152 when another vehicle rolled into oncoming traffic and collided with her vehicle head-on.

According to police, the crash occurred at approximately 7 a.m. near Southwest 59th Street. Investigators said the incident began as a road rage confrontation between two vehicles traveling in the northbound lanes of Highway 152. During the altercation, one vehicle reportedly struck the passenger side of another, causing the first vehicle to roll across the median into the southbound lanes, where it crashed head-on into Herrera’s vehicle.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and pulled multiple people from the damaged vehicles. Herrera was transported to a local hospital but died shortly after arriving, police said. Authorities said a child riding in the back seat of Herrera’s vehicle was properly secured in a car seat and was not injured. The driver of the vehicle that rolled into oncoming traffic suffered a broken arm and shoulder, while the driver of the other vehicle involved in the alleged road rage incident was also uninjured.

The Oklahoma City Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the events that led to the alleged road rage incident. The tragic death of Sharon Ladimar Paz Herrera has left her family, friends, and the Oklahoma City community mourning the loss of a young life, while investigators continue working to determine the full circumstances of the fatal collision.
