According to authorities, Shreveport Police officers responded at approximately 6:16 a.m. on July 12, 2026, to the 5800 block of Fern Avenue near Business Park Drive after reports of a serious crash. Officers arrived to find a 2012 Fiat 500 overturned on its side.
The Shreveport Fire Department responded to the scene, extinguished a small fire in the vehicle’s engine compartment, and worked to remove the driver from the vehicle. Despite the efforts of first responders, Anna Lisa Coulter was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Shreveport Police Crash Investigations Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Preliminary findings indicate the vehicle was traveling southbound on Fern Avenue when it left the roadway, struck a utility pole, and overturned. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
