In Loving Memory of 12-Year-Old Redarion Davis

The Nacogdoches community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 12-year-old Redarion Davis, who died days after suffering a gunshot wound in a July 4 shooting at the Eastwood Terrace Apartments in Nacogdoches, Texas.

According to the Nacogdoches Police Department, officers responded to the shooting and found Redarion with a critical gunshot wound. First responders treated him at the scene before he was taken to a local hospital and later airlifted to Texas Children’s Hospital for specialized care. Despite the efforts of doctors and medical staff, Redarion sadly succumbed to his injuries.

Police have arrested 19-year-old Zamarion Douglas in connection with the shooting. Investigators allege Douglas discharged a firearm in Redarion’s direction. He has been charged with injury to a child and is being held at the Nacogdoches County Jail on a $100,000 bond. The investigation remains ongoing.

The tragic loss of Redarion has left his family, friends, and the community heartbroken. As loved ones grieve the loss of a young life taken far too soon, many are offering prayers and support during this incredibly difficult time. May Redarion Davis rest in eternal peace.
